St. Lucia Airports
St. Lucia has two airports: Hewanorra International Airport and George F.L. Charles Airport.

Hewanorra International Airport is located at Vieux Fort, about 40 miles to the south of Castries. This is St. Lucia’s largest airport and it handles about half a million passengers every year. The airport receives flights from several international destinations, including London, New York, Miami and Toronto. Charter airlines land here too. Currently there are plans to expand Hewanorra International Airport to receive larger aircraft.

George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU) is located at Castries. Formerly known as Vigie Airport, it is situated directly opposite the famous Vigie Beach. This smaller airport receives flights mainly from other Caribbean destinations.

St Lucia hotels

St. Lucia Airport Shuttle and St. Lucia Executive provide affordable airport transfer services to all St. Lucia hotels and resorts. The main hotel districts include:

Castries: This is our island capital and main harbor. Castries and the surrounding area offers attractions like Derek Walcott Square and Fort Charlotte, which is situated on top of a hill and provides stunning views. It’s a shopper’s paradise too with lively markets and several duty-free shops. The city also has its fair share of great beaches, including Vigie beach.

Soufrière: This town on our island’s west coast used to be our capital. Many visitors come here for the gorgeous beaches or to explore the rainforest with its dense vegetation, abundant wildlife and waterfalls. Nearby attractions include the drive-through volcano of Sulphur Springs and The Pitons, the two famous mountains that overlook Soufrière Bay. The Pitons are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Gros Islet: Located along Rodney Bay at the northern tip of St. Lucia, Gros Islet is a popular resort town especially for watersports enthusiasts. There are several beaches within easy reach, including Cas en Bas with its kite-surfing school. At Pigeon Island just north of town you can try snuba, which is a cross between snorkelling and scuba diving.

Apart from a large variety of hotels and holiday rentals, St. Lucia also offers several all-inclusive resorts, some of which are considered among the best in the Caribbean region. They include the Smuggler’s Cove Resort and Spa, the Coco Palm Resort, the Almond Morgan Bay Resort and the Bay Gardens Beach Resort at Gros Islet; the BodyHoliday LeSport, the Rendezvous Resort  and the Windjammer Landing Resort at Castries and the Sugar Beach (formerly known as the Jalousie Plantation) at Soufrière.
